Air Duct Cleaning
At Kaiser Air Conditioning, we provide comprehensive, NADCA-standard duct cleaning to eliminate indoor air pollution, allergens, and bacteria from your home or business.
Systems that are neglected collect more than just dust; they can also become breeding grounds for contaminants.
Accumulation of dust, pollen, and pet dander over time.
Moisture in HVAC systems creates conditions for harmful molds, spores, and bacteria.
Poor air quality directly affects employee productivity and widespread health.
We service far more than just the ducts.
Regular duct cleaning can provide several important benefits for both residential and commercial properties.
Removing dust, allergens, and contaminants from ductwork helps reduce airborne particles circulating throughout your indoor environment.
Clean ducts allow air to flow more freely through the system, reducing strain on HVAC equipment and improving overall efficiency.
When duct systems are clean, less dust is distributed throughout your home or business.
Maintaining clean ductwork can reduce wear on HVAC equipment, helping systems last longer and operate more reliably.
From your first call to restored comfort, our four-step process helps you get a fast diagnosis, transparent pricing, and dependable heating repairs.
We open access ports to check for dust, particulates, and proper installation. We specifically check older systems for asbestos-containing materials that require specialist removal.
Before cleaning commences, we protect your furniture to ensure no harmful particles impinge on your living or workspace.
We follow NADCA standards and NAIMA recommended practices for fiberglass or duct board. We seal and re-insulate access holes to ensure your ductwork remains airtight.
Sometimes duct problems go beyond what cleaning alone can solve. If your ductwork has physical damage — disconnected joints, crushed sections, holes, separated seams, or insulation problems — cleaning the contaminants out is only half the job. The other half is repair.
This usually means conditioned air is leaking out of the ducts before it reaches the room, or returns aren't pulling air properly.
Leaky ducts force your HVAC system to run longer to maintain temperature. Even small leaks add up over a long Ventura County cooling season.
Joints separating, tape peeling, or visible gaps where ducts meet boots and registers.
Common in attics where ducts have been moved during other work or where insulation has compressed them.
When the system runs — often a sign of loose duct sections or pressure imbalances from a leak.
Despite regular cleaning — fine particulates coming through leak points.
Like most HVAC work, duct service pricing depends on the home. Here’s what drives the number
A typical 3-bedroom Ventura County home has 8-12 supply vents and 2-4 returns; larger homes have more.
Ducts in finished attics or behind drywall take more time to access than open ducts in unfinished basements or accessible attics.
Standard cleaning is one price; heavily contaminated ducts (rodent debris, mold, post-construction dust) need more involved remediation.
That needs servicing during the same visit.
Kaiser doesn’t quote duct repair over the phone — there’s too much that depends on what we find when we get into the attic or crawl space. We do a free in-home inspection, walk you through what we found, and give a written estimate. Financing is available for qualified customers on larger duct projects.
Call (805) 988-1800 or schedule an in-home estimate online. Since 1981, we’ve been giving Ventura County homeowners straight answers on ductwork — including the answers nobody else wants to give (like “you don’t need this service right now” when the ducts are actually fine).
Camarillo. Our warehouse is in Camarillo, which keeps duct-cleaning equipment and replacement materials close. Mission Oaks and Las Posas Estates homes often have original 1970s ductwork that benefits from a full inspection. See our Camarillo HVAC services →
Oxnard. Coastal humidity plus salt air accelerates duct corrosion and insulation degradation in Oxnard homes. We see this often along the coast and know what to look for. See our Oxnard HVAC services →
Ventura. From older hillside homes with original ductwork to newer beach-area construction with modern installs, Ventura duct conditions vary widely. Kaiser inspects and services both. See our Ventura HVAC services →
Thousand Oaks. Larger Thousand Oaks homes often have multi-zone systems with extensive ductwork — repairing leaks in zoned systems requires understanding how the zones interact. Kaiser handles this regularly. See our Thousand Oaks HVAC services →
Westlake Village. Custom Westlake homes with Carrier Infinity systems often have variable-speed blowers that are sensitive to duct leaks — small leaks can disrupt the system’s ability to deliver consistent comfort. Kaiser is factory-trained on these systems. See our Westlake Village HVAC services →
For homes that haven’t had ducts cleaned in 5+ years, almost always yes — measurable improvements in airflow and indoor air quality. For homes that get cleaning annually, returns are smaller. Kaiser will tell you straight whether your ducts actually need cleaning right now; we won’t recommend it just to make the sale.
Both. Many shops only do one. Kaiser handles full duct repair including joint sealing, flex duct replacement, re-insulation, and re-balancing. If your ducts have physical damage, repair is often more important than cleaning.
Standard cleaning on a typical 3-bedroom Ventura County home takes 3-5 hours. Repair work varies — patching a few leaks is 2-3 hours; replacing significant runs of flex duct is 4-8 hours.
Yes, financing is available for qualified customers on larger duct repair or replacement projects. We’ll walk through the financing options during the in-home estimate.
Most duct issues aren’t true emergencies, but certain situations (ducts blowing dust visibly into the home, ducts contaminated by water damage, complete duct failure) do warrant fast scheduling. Call (805) 988-1800 and we’ll prioritize appropriately.

High-quality HEPA machinery ensures no particulates are left behind; we exhaust outside the property whenever possible.

Controlled brushing combined with robust vacuuming rids your system of the most stubborn irritants.

We use top-of-the-line bacteriostat and fungistat cleaners to clear bacteria and fungi, followed by a harmless deodorizer for fresh air.
